Clear your mind... and your space!
Life is so busy these days, it’s easy to become surrounded by clutter. Perhaps it's those magazines that keep piling up, or the seemingly endless supply of McDonald’s happy meal toys that spew forth from the kids room but we all have ‘stuff’ in our life that does not need to be there.
In Feng Shui, clutter is stagnant and confusing energy that blocks the flow of events in your life. It’s true, we often have those ‘hot spots’ around our house that seem to attract clutter. Unfortunately, as clutter builds, it becomes harder and harder to get on top of. Feng Shui experts recommend doing a ‘deep space clearing’ at least once a year, but in the meantime, many suggest creating harmonious environments where everything has a place.
It is much easier, for example, if the family knows that mail belongs in the office in-tray to train our habits to put it there immediately, rather than it becoming lost in a pile on the kitchen bench. Similarly, even the smallest of children can assist in preventing clutter if they know that the toy box at the end of the bed is where their stuffed toys live when not in use. The key is reinforcing behaviours until they become habit; not allowing those trouble spots to build clutter by applying the contemporary Feng Shui practise of space clearing immediately and often.
By creating positive habits, and embracing the flylady’s principal of ‘just do it now’, we can keep our spaces clear, ensuring positive and harmonious energies in our homes.
Let us know if we can help you de-clutter your home - visit our website at www.spacemakerwardrobes.com.au to find out out more about our storage solutions!

Merry Christmas
Christmas. The time of year we all sit back and reflect on the year that was, spend time with our beloved and slow down.
Christmas is also a time for giving. However, advertisements push us to buy, buy, buy and it is easy to lose the meaning behind the giving in the clamour to purchase gifts.
Perhaps instead, we should give some time to reflection on our own needs and wants. What are you missing in your life? What are the things that make you happy and content?
‘A place for everything, and everything in its place’
A house is much more than simply a place to live. It is an escape from the outside world, a place where you are comfortable and in control. Our homes are also where we keep the things we love: our families and possessions that give us our sense of identity. How many of us feel times when that control is lost due to mess and disorganisation? It is easy to become overwhelmed, particularly when you do not have a place for everything. Storage seems like a trifling matter - how much thought does one really need to give to where to put stuff? In actual fact, having well planned and thoughtful storage throughout the house gives not only satisfaction but clarity of mind.
Our job
The Spacemaker Wardrobes team is dedicated to helping you get on top of your organisational needs. This blog will operate to educate and inform about the latest storage innovations as well as open up discussion about not only our products but ideas to make efficient use of spaces of all sizes.Once again, Merry Christmas from Spacemaker Wardrobes!

About Spacemaker Wardrobes
So, who are this mob called ‘Spacemaker Wardrobes’ anyway?
Spacemaker Wardrobes is a family owned and operated business located on the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland.
Jim Wooding, our owner and director, began the business in 1992. Jim grew up in Coonamble, NSW and was trained as a carpenter before love brought him to Queensland in pursuit of his childhood sweetheart, wife and co-director Karen.
In 2004 Jim’s son Adam came on board and completed his apprenticeship in cabinet making. Before long, Adam embraced his inner-nerd and began a website for the business. This step enabled Spacemaker to take their system beyond the local area and service customers throughout Australia. Adam now works full-time as the web developer for Spacemaker Wardrobes.
The Spacemaker team is set apart by their dedication to customers and their passion for quality products. When you deal with Spacemaker, we promise you will deal directly with our director Jim - he is accessible, he knows what he’s doing and can answer any question you may have.
The Spacemaker system not only assists you to organise your home in the way that is right for you, it also looks good and adds value to your home.
